Thrown on the wheel with coarse clay, this tall-stemmed goblet continues the series' imagery of three circular planes at the base, evoking concentric waves of light — a vision of UFOs descending to Earth, beaming rings of energy from the sky. The cup's surface design draws from the artist’s memory of patterns on worn leather sofas, reimagined through a softer palette. Gradations of pink and green were added, infusing the vessel with a sense of springtime freshness — a renewal of warmth and color after the quiet of winter. Each piece is finished through hand-painted underglaze decoration, then fired at high temperature, making every cup subtly unique in hue and texture.
